The website was developed during in response to young people saying they wanted a space with reliable information, we worked with 22 organisations and service areas to develop the site.

Young Lives is currently offering ASIST
What is ASIST?
An accredited two-day, interactive training that prepares professionals to provide suicide first aid interventions.
Who can attend ASIST?
Anyone over 16 can learn to use the ASIST model.
With no previous mental health or suicide prevention experience.
Attached is further information regarding the course and the expression of interest form.

The Risk and Resilience Framework

Young Lives Consortium has permission to take the WF I CAN Van to the Clarence Park Music Festival Saturday 26th - Sun 27th July.
The WF I CAN Van is for young people to access information, support, or activities, that may be run from the inside or outside of the van. It goes out to communities and engages with the local young people.
Young Lives are hoping to provide young people with a ‘bag’ full of information about local services, activities, and a few give aways to encourage parents and young people to come and find out more.
Does your team/service have any information leaflets or ‘goodies’ to promote what you offer? Or do you fancy doing a couple of hours during the festival, it’s usually very busy and has a great atmosphere! Email:@ylc.org.uk
The JSNA Annual Report provides a summary of the health and wellbeing needs of Wakefield District. There are two reports; one for children and one for adults.

This is a chance for young people to help shape the direction of research and policy carried out by the Children’s Commissioner’s team.- The Forum is an ongoing role for those who’d like to be more frequently involved in work like this.
- The Survey is a one-off opportunity for young people to share their views without the need for a longer-term commitment.

toothPASTE is now live!
toothPASTE is a free, online resource developed with parents and professionals to support autistic children’s oral health- but also relevant to many children with additional needs. It includes small, practical steps to help with toothbrushing, reducing sugary foods and drinks, and attending dental appointments. The resources are autism-informed, non-judgemental, and easy to use. Autism Toothcare

Pixel Fund Accepting Applications for 2025
The Pixel Fund is offering grants of between £2,500 and £5,000 for UK-registered charities to deliver projects and activities that promote the mental health and wellbeing of children and young adults aged under 26 years old and provide a measurable difference to the group’s users.
To apply, groups must book a place at an applicant pre-meeting, which will be held regularly throughout the year.
