The website was developed during in response to young people saying they wanted a space with reliable information, we worked with 22 organisations and service areas to develop the site.

Young Lives is currently offering a
What is ASIST?
An accredited two-day, interactive training that prepares professionals to provide suicide first aid interventions.
Who can attend ASIST?
Anyone over 16 can learn to use the ASIST model.
With no previous mental health or suicide prevention experience.

The Risk and Resilience Framework

Culture Grants - Creative and heritage project funding
Wakefield Council Culture Grants provide support of up to £10,000 to charities, CICs, and organisations based in Wakefield district. The grants support organisations to co-produce creative and heritage projects by Wakefield communities.
We are encouraging applications which:
Will authentically deliver activity to participants and audiences in the following wards:
- Airedale and Ferry Fryston
- Altofts and Whitwood
- Knottingley
- Normanton
- Stanley and Outwood East
Will focus on one or more of the following criteria:
- projects that have health and wellbeing outcomes for participants. Including but not limited to, creativity for older people, or for children and young people
- projects that are for audiences who experience barriers in participating in cultural activities
- projects that highlight the diversity of Wakefield communities and creatives
Remaining application deadlines for Culture Grants are:
- Culture Grants Medium & Large: Monday 14 July
- Culture Grants Small: Monday 14 July, Monday 15 September, Monday 17 November
