The website was developed during in response to young people saying they wanted a space with reliable information, we worked with 22 organisations and service areas to develop the site.

Young Lives is currently offering a
What is ASIST?
An accredited two-day, interactive training that prepares professionals to provide suicide first aid interventions.
Who can attend ASIST?
Anyone over 16 can learn to use the ASIST model. With no previous mental health or suicide prevention experience.

The Risk and Resilience Framework

Wakefield Youth Work Alliance (YWA)
As part of all our ongoing efforts to strengthen the youth work sector in Wakefield, we invite you to complete the Wakefield Youth Work Alliance (YWA) Membership Form.
You can complete the form in one of two ways:

- Using the Membership Application document: Simply fill out the form and return it via email to info@ylc.org.uk
By joining the Alliance, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with others in the sector, access training opportunities, and contribute to enhancing the quality of youth work across the district.
In addition, a wider membership opportunity will soon be available, aimed at promoting opportunities for children and young people. We look forward to sharing more details with you soon.

Youth Endowment Fund Launches Open Call Funding Round
The Youth Endowment Fund (YEF) invites proposals from delivery organisations across England and/or Wales that work to reduce young people’s involvement in violence and are ready for rigorous evaluation.
The aim of this open call is to fund and evaluate projects that will help YEF build strong evidence for practices and approaches in areas where clear gaps exist.
Projects need to primarily support children and young people (aged 10 to 18 years) who are either:
- At risk of crime or violence (‘secondary prevention’), or
- Already affected by violence, offending or exploitation (‘tertiary prevention’).
There are no deadlines for this open call.
