Introduction to the Resilience Framework Training

The session will enable you to increase confidence in using the framework, recognise how it can complement your work, identify and overcome barriers to using the framework and share best practice.

Museum Meet Up
Wakefield Museum Meet Up is all about meeting new people and connecting through creative activities inspired by the museum collections and Wakefield's unique heritage. Between September 2023 and February 2024, FREE monthly sessions will offer:
- ways for people to connect with local heritage
- a place for people to meet and make new friends
- the chance to develop and learn new creative skills
Come along to meet new people, learn about your local area and get hands-on with some creative fun! Our friendly staff will guide you through activities and there will be lots of opportunities to explore Wakefield Museum.
The next sessions are Wednesday 11th October, 11am – 12.30pm and 5.15 – 6.45pm at Wakefield Museum, Learning Zone, Wakefield One.

Landmark survey seeks women's views on reproductive health.
Women in England are being encouraged to help shape reproductive health policy by sharing their experiences, as the government launches a landmark survey.
The survey is being delivered by the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and is funded by DHSC. It is open to all woman in England aged 16 to 55 years and will run for six weeks.
The survey seeks women’s views on issues including periods, contraception, fertility, pregnancy and the menopause.

The Big Ambition - Have your say!
The Children’s Commissioner for England, Dame Rachel de Souza, has launched The Big Ambition, a national survey of children and young people across England.
The Big Ambition aims to hear from children across England on what they think is important! In the lead up to the next General Election, the Children’s Commissioner wants to take children’s thoughts, opinions and ideas to decision-makers, to make sure that the Government hears young people’s voices on what they think needs to be done to make children’s lives better in England.
The Big Ambition survey will be open until Friday 15th December.

Wakefield's Online Universal parenting offer in partnership with the Solihull approach is now live and available to all parents, Grandparents and carers in Wakefield.
Access is simple and straight forward, please have a look and you will see it takes seconds to find:
- Visit Wakefield Families Together website
- Click on the “Parent Support and Relationships” on the front page
- Half way down the page you will see “Support available online” click on the “Wakefield / Solihull approach” link, this will take you to the page where a raft of online parenting interventions can be accessed by the parent carer by them simply adding their Wakefield postcode and access password, HEPWORTH, all detailed on the page.
The parent / carer then has unlimited access to all the packages available, there are even packages designed specifically for teenagers to access to support their own well-being.
The Community Organisations Cost of Living Fund
The government has launched the community Organisations Cost of Living Fund (CCLF), which will be delivered by The National Lottery Community Fund (TNLCF).
The £76 million package of funding aims to maintain and expand support for people and communities under severe pressure because of the increased cost of living, by distributing grants to critical frontline services seeing increased demand and increased delivery cost.

Million Hours Fund (phase two)
The Million Hours Fund (phase two) offers funding of £30,000 to £100,000 for organisations to give extra support to young people in areas where they may be at risk of anti-social behaviour. We want to fund extra hours of youth work for additional activities that give these young people more places to go and positive things to do.
