UKCES funds LINKS new online, interactive skills platform
Skills - Third Sector is delighted to have received project funding from the UK Commission for Employment and Skills' (UKCES) Growth and Innovation Fund to develop and launch LINKS, its new online, interactive skills platform. Providing key skills development support to third sector employers, LINKS will enable them to share knowledge, skills and advice; to search for and access better quality, more relevant and best value learning opportunities and will encourage open, transparent competition between skills and training providers. The LINKS project funding, of just under £1m subject to contract, will run over two years starting from September 2012. Skills-Third Sector is confident that the platform will start to become available for some use by the sector in the first half of 2013. LINKS will help charities, social enterprises, community and voluntary groups to develop the right skills for their organisations. Visit the website to find out more:
